The audio streaming wars are heating up this summer, and you may want to keep your eyes open. While Twitter tries to charge for ticketed Spaces, Spotify launched its Greenroom Creator Fund to entice talent to its platform.
What has people most excited about Greenroom is the ability to incorporate yourself into major podcasts like Joe Rogan Experience, Call Her Daddy, or Reply All. Unlike Clubhouse, Spotify has a clear path to mainstream acceptance and success for aspiring podcasters and entertainers.
As great of a platform as it is, Greenroom still has flaws. Clubhouse has better content, and both Twitter and Facebook are drawing a completely different crowd. Navigating content across platforms isn’t easy, and discoverability will ultimately define where each platform fits into our lives.
I’m doing what I can to gather schedules, but can at least give you recaps on some of the great rooms happening. Another issue I’m working on is bringing legitimate and trustworthy news to each platform.

TIDAL Talk with Jack Dorsey and Jay-Z
Jack Dorsey is the head of both Twitter and Square, where he also sits as the Chairman of the Board of Directors. In May 2021, Jay-Z (real name Sean Corey Carter) joined Dorsey on the Square Board after Square paid $297 million in cash and stock to acquire a majority stake in TIDAL.
TIDAL was initially founded by a Norwegian company before being bought out by Jay-Z’s Project Panther Bidco Ltd in Januar 2015 for around $56.2 million.
The company directly competes with streaming services like Spotify and was heavily supported by artists. It offers high-definition audio and larger profit margins for artists. The company also followed Spotify’s footsteps into podcasting, and it’s clear Dorsey is seeking ways to integrate both services.
Exclusive content in high definition is a boon for artists, and there’s a good chance we’ll see TIDAL become a useful tool in the battle for drop-in audio supremacy. Jay-Z and Dorsey are both notable businessmen, and this partnership is not one to count out.
